Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-4124) Refactor INodeDirectory#getExistingPathINodes() to enable returning more than INode array
Date Mon, 29 Oct 2012 02:17:12 GMT

Suresh Srinivas commented on HDFS-4124:
---------------------------------------

Jing, instead of:

{noformat}
  int getExistingPathINodes(byte[][] components, INodesInPath existing,
     boolean resolveLink) throws UnresolvedLinkException {
InodesInPath getExistingPathINodes(byte[][] components, boolean resolveLink)
{noformat}

Is this not better:
{noformat}
  InodesInPath getExistingPathINodes(byte[][] components,
     boolean resolveLink) throws UnresolvedLinkException {
InodesInPath getExistingPathINodes(byte[][] components, boolean resolveLink)
{noformat}

> Currently INodeDirectory#getExistingPathINodes() uses an INode array to return the INodes
resolved from the given path. For snapshot we need the function to be able to return more
information when resolving a path for a snapshot file/dir.
