Maybe have missed it (sorry, traveling so haven't been quite as diligent as I should have
been), but what are the intended permissions required for snapshot creation? I would assume
you need write access on the directory in question. Do you also need any kind of access on
all underlying directories? What are the use cases for user-created snaps? AFAIK most file
systems only allow admins to manage snapshots.
