Oh, also, you have a bunch of warnings that are being generated during the compile now.  Unfortunately,
they're not very visible in the default maven build (I am working on improving that; see HADOOP-8887).
 You should definitely fix those, although perhaps in another patch since this one is already
somewhat large.
