Subject [jira] [Updated] (HDFS-3583) Convert remaining tests to Junit4
Date Wed, 11 Jul 2012 08:39:35 GMT

Andrew Wang updated HDFS-3583:

    Attachment: hdfs-3583.patch

Attached is a patch for tests within hadoop-hdfs-project. Generated with the updated shell
script, after which I ran Eclipse's auto import formatter over all the hdfs tests. {{mvn test}}
at least shows it compiling; I couldn't get my own Jenkins job working, so I'm posting here
to get Apache's Jenkins to do its thing.

I blacklisted any test files that the script couldn't automatically mangle and still pass
a compile test. The blacklisted tests will have to be fixed up manually.

common and mapreduce would require a much bigger blacklist, so I don't want to try and auto-fix
those yet. Broadly, these are the {{suite()}} files ATM found, some tests that use inheritance,
and style nits throwing off the regex. Maybe these could be addressed in separate JIRAs.

> JUnit4 style tests are easier to debug (eg can use @Timeout etc), let's convert the remaining
tests over to Junit4 style.
