If corruption toleration is undesirable, the feature could be turned off.

UNCHECKED_REGION_LENGTH is to skip checking the last 1MB.  If this region is checked, corruption
could be found.  Skipping checking may simply lead to undetected corruption but not the same
as no corruption.
