Subject [jira] [Updated] (HDFS-3385) ClassCastException when trying to append a file
Date Thu, 10 May 2012 02:36:53 GMT

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-3385?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel
]

Tsz Wo (Nicholas), SZE updated HDFS-3385:
-----------------------------------------

    Attachment: h3385_20120509.patch

It turns out that the ClassCastException can be reproduced by the following.
# Create a new file with a full block.
# Append but not add any data so that the last block remains full and the last block in INodeFileUnderConstruction
is a BlockInfo but not BlockInfoUnderConstruction.
# Append again.

h3385_20120509.patch:
- adds the test above;
- fixes the indentation.
