Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-2876) The unit tests (src/test/unit) are not being compiled and are not runnable

Todd Lipcon commented on HDFS-2876:

I vote we just move these "unit" tests back into the main tree, and use junit 4.5 category
annotations to mark the ones that are true unit tests. Surefire 2.11 supports test categories
via http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SUREFIRE-329 so if we upgrade to that build we can still
have a separate target for the unit tests.

> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: test
> Affects Versions: 0.23.0
> Reporter: Eli Collins
> The unit tests (src/test/unit not src/test/java) are not being compiled and are not runnable.
{{mvn -Dtest=TestBlockRecovery test}} executed from hadoop-hdfs-project does not compile or
execute the test.
> TestBlockRecovery does not compile yet this test target completes w/o error.
