Subject [jira] [Commented] (HDFS-2868) Add number of active transfer threads to the DataNode status
Date Mon, 06 Feb 2012 06:24:03 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-2868?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13201068#comment-13201068

Harsh J commented on HDFS-2868:

Somehow the merge removed another line, so need to add in that back but svn is hanging presently
(monitoring says LDAP is down):

+ HDFS-2784. Update hftp and hdfs for host-based token support.
+ (Kihwal Lee via jitendra)
HDFS-2785. Update webhdfs and httpfs for host-based token support.

Will fix this once I'm able to.

> Key: HDFS-2868
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-2868
> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: data-node
> Affects Versions: 0.23.0
> Reporter: Harsh J
> Assignee: Harsh J
> Priority: Minor
> Fix For: 0.23.1
> Attachments: HDFS-2868.patch, HDFS-2868.patch
> Presently, we do not provide any stats from the DN that specifically indicates the total
number of active transfer threads (xceivers). Having such a metric can be very helpful as
well, over plain num-ops(type) form of metrics, which already exist.
