I just ran this 1,000 times with no failures, so seems unlikely. When you say it "didn't work"
did it report an error message? Or just not do what you expected? And how'd you test it?

in which Allen correctly points out that since dfs.block.size is a client-side config, one
could just set a different value in a custom HADOOP_CONF_DIR. We might as well make that easy.
