Subject [jira] Updated: (HDFS-432) fuse-dfs: call fsshell trash instead of c re-implementation
Date Tue, 22 Feb 2011 23:26:38 GMT

Brian Bockelman updated HDFS-432:

      Priority: Minor (was: Major)
    Issue Type: Wish (was: Bug)

Not sure how relevant this is. I would counter-propose that we should remove the trash implementation
in fuse-dfs in order to keep things simpler and stick only to supported libhdfs calls.

> Project: Hadoop HDFS
> Issue Type: Wish
> Components: contrib/fuse-dfs

> Priority: Minor
> Instead of implementing trash feature in fuse, make a native call to fsshell.trash.
should be pretty easy assuming link against libhdfs and using the helper functions in hdfsJniHelper.c
> Note: this is used only when the -ousetrash flag is a mount option.
