Yea, I see your point that we could move it inside. Like you said, though, I don't think it's
material because the situation shouldn't happen in practice, and I think the code is a little
clearer to skip at the top of the loop like that. Let me know if you want me to upload a new
patch.

(btw, I haven't mentioned above, but I've been running with this patch for a couple weeks
with lots of testing, it should be pretty stable)
