Subject [jira] Commented: (HDFS-292) TestDFSIO Should print stats for each file
Date Fri, 14 May 2010 20:50:42 GMT

Konstantin Shvachko commented on HDFS-292:

If it writes/reads thousands of files it would be a pretty long printout.
Should we just log per-file data or should we write it in the output file?

> TestDFSIO Should print stats for each file

> Key: HDFS-292

> TestDFSIO is a pretty useful micro benchmark for testing reading and writing in DFS.
When we want to analyze its results later, it would be more useful if the test prints out
stats for each file/map along with the aggregated stats.
