Subject Java Generics in Writable Classes
Date Tue, 07 Aug 2012 12:52:44 GMT
Hey all,
 In the WritableComparable classes like IntWritable, etc why was it decided
to declare them as

public class IntWritable implements WritableComparable

and not as

public class IntWritable implements WritableComparable<IntWritable>

IMO the latter should have been used. Here is an example use case
http://pastebin.com/PqEp8aNM why I think this should be done the latter way.
Please correct me if wrong.
