The fuse_dfs build is broken in several ways.  If you run:

mvn compile -DskipTests -Pnative
mvn compile -DskipTests -Pfuse
{code}

You get the following error message:

[exec] /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.6/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lhdfs
[exec] collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
[exec] make[1]: *** [fuse_dfs] Error 1
[exec] make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
{code}

libhdfs.so was created, but the -Pfuse build doesn't know where it is and can't link against it.

Also, should ''mvn install -Pfuse'' be copying fuse_dfs somewhere?
