Subject Re: How to unsubscribe?
Date Tue, 29 Jan 2013 21:07:28 GMT
I continue to be at a loss on how to unsubscribe. I subscribed to this about a month ago
using my one and only work email address ifyfe@pentaho.com<mailto:ifyfe@pentaho.com>.

I've pasted below the response I got from the unsubscribe process, yet I continue to receive
emails from the list.

I carefully followed the instructions below and emailed user-unsubscribe-ifyfe=pentaho.dom@hadoop.apache.org<mailto:user-unsubscribe-ifyfe=pentaho.dom@hadoop.apache.org>
and that didn't work either (no response from the server).

I'm using mainstream email products - Outlook for Mac and Exchange Server. It shouldn't be
this hard.

Can you help?

Pasted below the header from emails I continue to receive:

Hi! This is the ezmlm program. I'm managing the
user@hadoop.apache.org<mailto:user@hadoop.apache.org> mailing list.

Acknowledgment: The address

was not on the user mailing list when I received
your request and is not a subscriber of this list.

If you unsubscribe, but continue to receive mail, you're subscribed
under a different address than you currently use. Please look at the
header for:

'Return-Path: <user-return-1234-user=host.dom@hadoop.apache.org<mailto:user-return-1234-user=host.dom@hadoop.apache.org>>'

The unsubscribe address for this user would be:
Just mail to that address, substituting user=host.dom for the real
values, reply to the confirmation request, and you should receive a message
that you're off the list.

Subject: How to unsubscribe?

Hi Ian

When you send an email to the address you mentioned, you should receive
another email asking you to confirm. Replying to that email should
unsubscribe you. I have done that in the past with other Apache mailing
lists - so would expect it to work with this list too.

Hello mailing list admin,
Using the link on http://hadoop.apache.org/mailing_lists.html I've
emailed general-unsubscribe@hadoop.apache.org<mailto:general-unsubscribe@hadoop.apache.org>
several times attempting to
unsubscribe from this mailing list, but continue to receive emails.

Could you let me, and all of the other people sending emails containing
the word "UNSUBSCRIBE" how to successfully unsubscribe?

Thank you!
