Subject RE: Get All Hadoop Groups
Date Thu, 22 Sep 2016 10:15:07 GMT
I don’t think you can do this, because Hadoop doesn’t manage user groups. Itself needs
to be configured into a user group mapping provider backed by your provided identity backends.
If not provided, it uses shell login user and group in your Linux systems. With the user-group
mapping provider, it can only determine the user’s groups given a user name. Again, it doesn’t
be able to fetch all groups existing in your system or identity backend. Hope this helps.

Subject: Get All Hadoop Groups

I am looking for a way to fetch all hadoop groups available on cluster.

Is there any way to do this using Java?
