Subject Re: can't copy between hdfs
Date Mon, 14 Apr 2014 12:30:27 GMT
Hi,

Try setting this property in hdfs-site.xml on the destination cluster.

<property>
        <name>dfs.datanode.max.xcievers</name>
        <value>4096</value>
</property>

4096 would work if needed you may increase this to a higher number. A
restart would be required in this case. Also make sure you have the ulimit
set to a high number as hadoop tends to open too may files.

check ulimit -n if the value is 1024 increase it to a higher number usually
32K or 64K. Again a restart of the cluster would be required.

Thanks
Divye Sheth
