Subject problem accessing web monitoring tools
Date Wed, 13 Aug 2008 09:18:05 GMT
Hello Everyone,

I'm having a little problem accessing the web monitoring URLs. I
start the server, and the logs dutifully report:

2008-08-13 10:11:47,031 INFO org.mortbay.util.Container: Started
org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.WebApplicationHandler@a2e19e
2008-08-13 10:11:47,064 INFO org.mortbay.util.Container: Started

2008-08-13 10:11:47,064 INFO org.mortbay.util.Container: Started

2008-08-13 10:11:47,065 INFO org.mortbay.http.SocketListener: Started

2008-08-13 10:11:47,065 INFO org.mortbay.util.Container: Started
org.mortbay.jetty.Server@7ed081
2008-08-13 10:11:47,065 INFO org.apache.hadoop.fs.FSNamesystem:
Web-server up at: 0.0.0.0:50070

But, on accessing localhost:50070, I see:

HTTP ERROR: 404
/dfshealth.jsp

I see similar errors for all the monitors.

This problem seems to have been reported before, but without any resolution:
