Is it because of this: My understanding is that HOD is used to distribute your hadoop jobs onto the cluster (one might not even have Hadoop installed on a node and still be able to use HOD to do this and run the jar job). Torque and other schedulers don't do the transfer of the jar in particular hadoop jar files effectively and HOD is this type of service to transfer and distribute the hadoop jars?
