Subject Logging in Hadoop?
Date Mon, 26 May 2008 07:16:55 GMT
If I want to log using log4j, what is the best way recommended?
I feel that it's not wise to have separate loggers for each mapper/reducer.
Though this helps in having distinct log files per node, the consolidation
is a problem. So is the best approach to have a SocketAppender? This way,
I can have just one node (the NameNode probably) store all the logs. Would
I be right in pursuing this method?
