Take a look at: http://lucene.apache.org/hadoop/api/org/apache/hadoop/mapred/JobClient.html#submitJob(org.apache.hadoop.mapred.JobConf).


That returns a RunningJob, then use http://lucene.apache.org/hadoop/api/org/apache/hadoop/mapred/RunningJob.html#getCounters()
