Steve Loughran resolved HADOOP-14768.

          Resolution: Fixed
       Fix Version/s: 2.9.0
    Target Version/s: 2.9.0, 3.1.0  (was: 2.9.0, 3.0.0)

Committed to 3.1 & cherry picked into branch-2

If you need it in 3.0, 

# reopen the JIRA, 
# apply the trunk patch to branch-3
# rerun all the hadoop-azure tests
# if the tests pass, add a patch with the branch-3-011.patch style of marker, resubmit, with
a declaration of endpoint.
