Date Tue, 31 May 2016 17:30:13 GMT

Illes S updated HADOOP-13214:
    Status: Patch Available (was: Open)

The new (.2) patch adds unit tests for the issue being fixed. Tested with {{hadoop-common$
mvn -Dtest=TestSequenceFile test}} The test passes, as the patch also includes the fix in
{{SequenceFile.java}}, but fails without it.

> Calling {{sync(0); next(...);}} on a block-compressed {{SequenceFile.Reader}} that has
already been used may not yield the key-values at the beginning, but those following the previous
position. The issue is caused by {{sync(0)}} not releasing previously buffered keys and values.
The issue was introduced by HADOOP-6196.
