Subject [jira] [Commented] (HADOOP-12111) [Umbrella] Split test-patch off into its own TLP

Allen Wittenauer commented on HADOOP-12111:

bq. do we need the svn repo?

I think the answer is no. IIRC, the website gets built from a specified branch.

bq. is a single git repo what we want? or do we want one for each particular tool we might

I think single git repo is the way to go. At some point, we'll pull out the shared functions
between the various scripts and push them into a library. My hunch is that it will be easier
for the build, test, and site generation processes if they are in one repo.

> Key: HADOOP-12111
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-12111
> Project: Hadoop Common

> Components: yetus
> Affects Versions: HADOOP-12111

> Given test-patch's tendency to get forked into a variety of different projects, it makes
a lot of sense to make an Apache TLP so that everyone can benefit from a common code base.
