Subject [jira] [Commented] (HADOOP-11902) Prune old javadoc versions from the website.

Allen Wittenauer commented on HADOOP-11902:

I think the versions that will be removed should redirect either to a page that says this
version is no longer supported (or whatever) or if we really want to redirect to the same
page of a similar version, it should have a banner. Otherwise people will be caught by surprise
if options/features don't work.

I'd also prefer to keep 2.4.1, the last somewhat actually stable release of hadoop-2.

Bonus points if we can rename 'current' to 'lastrelease' or something and make a place to
start publishing trunk.

> We have a lot of old versions of javadoc on the website. We should prune the old versions
and redirect the old urls to the current versions.
