Subject [jira] [Updated] (HADOOP-11669) Move the Hadoop constants in HTTPServer.java to CommonConfigurationKeys class
Date Thu, 26 Mar 2015 04:26:53 GMT

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-11669?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel

Haohui Mai updated HADOOP-11669:
    Resolution: Won't Fix
        Status: Resolved  (was: Patch Available)

It's a bad idea to export these configuration to the global namespaces as multiple services
depend on the same configuration. In YARN / HDFS, the requirements of HTTP servers are dramatically

We have made several mistakes (e.g., {{hadoop.ssl.enabled}}) in the past. We're moving towards
separating the configuration for each service. Therefore I'm marking this jira as won't fix.
Please feel free to reopen it if you disagree.

> {code}
> It is better to keep it inside CommonConfigurationKeys
