I think if it is just unresolved hostname, I'd rather something explicit in the code that
check for it; this should also let us upgrade it to an UnknownHostException.

if (addr.isUnresolved()) {
  throw new UnknownHostException("Unresolved host: " + addr);
}

Now, how can test this?
