Subject [jira] [Updated] (HADOOP-10982) KMS: Support for multiple Kerberos principals
Date Thu, 18 Sep 2014 20:54:34 GMT

Alejandro Abdelnur updated HADOOP-10982:
----------------------------------------
    Attachment: HADOOP-10982.patch

Version of the patch without testcase changes, which seems to create the jenkins issue. If
this patch passes jenkins, i'll create another JIRA just for the testcase, so we can get the
doc/fix now and defer the testcase for later.

> The Key Management Server should support multiple Kerberos principals.
> This is required for KMS multi instance setups behind a VIP. In such scenarios there
must a principal with the VIP hostname and one with the actual hostname of the KMS instance.
Regular users will use the VIP entry point, monitoring agents must hit a specific instance.
