Subject [jira] [Updated] (HADOOP-10891) Add factory methods to KeyProviderCryptoExtension
Date Thu, 24 Jul 2014 20:31:38 GMT

Andrew Wang updated HADOOP-10891:
---------------------------------

    Attachment: hadoop-10891.002.patch

New patch attached without {{fromConf}}. I talked with Tucu a bit, and he'd like to instead
change how KeyProviders are specified and instantiated. I will admit that the necessity for
the current {{fromConf}} function is kind of gross.

> For fs-encryption, we need to create a EncryptedKeyVersion from its component parts for
decryption. We also need a way of getting a KPCE from a conf. Both of these can be done with
factory methods.
