Subject [jira] [Commented] (HADOOP-9661) Allow metrics sources to be extended
Date Mon, 24 Jun 2013 20:50:21 GMT

Sandy Ryza commented on HADOOP-9661:

I verified that this works correctly by applying my fair scheduler queue metrics changes and
observing that both the superclass and subclass metrics appear in a pseudo-distributed cluster.
Also, for posterity, the reason we are writing our own getDeclaredFieldsIncludingInherited
is that Class#getFields only returns public fields and Class#getDeclaredFields returns all
fields, but not inherited fields.
