Tom White updated HADOOP-8762:

    Attachment: HADOOP-8762.patch

This patch changes container dependencies to 'provided' for Common and HDFS. With this change
I could remove the excludes from hadoop-client without bringing in any extra dependencies
(in fact hadoop-client was incorrectly pulling in Jetty via HDFS).
> Mark container-provided dependencies with 'provided' scope
> ----------------------------------------------------------
> Key: HADOOP-8762
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-8762
> Project: Hadoop Common
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: build

> For example the Tomcat and Jetty dependencies should be 'provided' since they are provided
by the container (i.e. the Hadoop installation).
