Eric Yang commented on HADOOP-7563:
-----------------------------------

source jar is for remote debugging. It is important to keep running jar and source jar in
the same place to ensure the debugging session is showing the right source code, and having
test jar would help to validate the cluster like teragen, and terasort. Hence, having them
loaded to the class path are nice to have.

> HADOOP_HDFS_HOME and HADOOP_MAPRED_HOME was set to HADOOP_PREFIX/share/hadoop/hdfs and
HADOOP_PREFIX/share/hadoop/mapreduce. This setup confuses the location of hdfs and mapred
scripts. Instead the script should look for hdfs and mapred script in HADOOP_PREFIX/bin.
