I actually ended up not doing this, since in Hadoop it's actually possible for a user to legitimately
have no groups at all (for example, with an S3 file system) and because the {{ShellBasedUnixGroupsMapping}}
class doesn't actually bubble up the "no such user" case - it just returns an empty list.
