Subject [jira] Commented: (HADOOP-5901) FileSystem.fixName() has unexpected behaviour
Date Fri, 23 Oct 2009 10:33:59 GMT

Vinod K V commented on HADOOP-5901:

bq. Worse than that - setting fs.default.name to "/foo" actually causes a stack overflow in
FileSystem.get(). It never makes it to fixName().
Aaron, can you please see if HDFS-51 is the same issue? If yes, can you close that as duplicate?
One less open issue :) Thanks!

> {{FileSystem.fixName()}} tries to patch up fs.default.name values, but I'm not sure it
helps that well.
> Has it been warning about deprecated values for long enough for it to be turned off?
