The problem is how do you distinguish when someone is asking about the Hadoop (HDFS, MapReduce)

And the Hadoop ecosystem. (HDFS, MapReduce, HBase, Hive, Pig, Oozie, Flume, etc ...)

I interpreted the question to mean why are you using Derby in Oozie and Hive...
