Subject [jira] Commented: (HADOOP-5332) Make support for file append API configurable
Date Mon, 09 Mar 2009 21:59:50 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-5332?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12680294#action_12680294

Raghu Angadi commented on HADOOP-5332:

Since append is disabled by default, the tests that needed fixes in HADOOP-5225 should have
append enabled. The current patch only has the FSDataset fix. This could explain two of the
tests failed.

Apart from that, +1 for the patch.

TestPread failures in Hudson seem unrelated.

> FSNamesystem already has a private dfs.support.append config option. Make this public
in src/hdfs/hdfs-default.xml and set the default to false.
