dhruba borthakur commented on HADOOP-5179:

If you delete the .crc file after invoking copyToLocal(), does it serve as a feasible workaround?

> Key: HADOOP-5179
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-5179
> Project: Hadoop Core
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 0.19.0
> Reporter: Nathan Marz
> The .crc files shouldn't be copied locally, as they are an internal Hadoop filesystem
thing. This is causing the following problem for me:
> I sometimes copy a directory from HDFS locally, modify those files, and then reupload
them somewhere else in HDFS. I then get checksum errors on the re-upload.
