Subject [jira] Commented: (HADOOP-3639) Exception when closing DFSClient while multiple files are open
Date Fri, 27 Jun 2008 21:27:45 GMT

Tsz Wo (Nicholas), SZE commented on HADOOP-3639:

We should remove the map entry from pendingCreates for each name in any case. So I think
it is better to remove it in the beginning. Otherwise, if there is an IOException thrown
by out.close(), the entry won't be removed.

> DFSClient.close uses an iterator for closing files which are still open. Closing a file
removes that file from the list of open files, which in turn breaks the iterator.
