Subject [jira] Updated: (HADOOP-2881) HOD should print the default file system to the user

Hemanth Yamijala updated HADOOP-2881:
-------------------------------------

    Attachment: 2881.patch

There is a small use case that developers and sys-admins who use HOD would need more information
than hod prints at an INFO level, but less information than it prints at a debug level. The
attached patch introduces a hod.verbose option which if enabled will print some info at an
INFO level. If not specified, this information is printed at a debug level.

Currently, the additional bits printed are the Ringmaster, Mapred and HDFS RPC ports. The
latter is what was requested in the bug.

I understand the same could be done for the hod info command as well. But that seemed to take
more changes, and hence maybe for another JIRA ?

> Currently, while running HOD, I have to look in the hadoop-site.xml to find the default
file system. It should be printed for the user.
