Tahir Hashmi commented on HADOOP-1432:

It was only as fast as Jetty 5 as per a Sort-500 run done on Thursday. An additional bug fix
was made on Friday that would've avoided some connection timeouts but this patch hasn't been
through a performance test, AFAIK.

> As mentioned in HADOOP-1273 and references therefrom, Jetty 6 still doesn't seem to be
stable enough for use in Hadoop. Instead, we've decided to consider the usage of Grizzly Framework
[https://grizzly.dev.java.net/] for NIO based communication.
