Subject [jira] Updated: (HADOOP-1496) Test coverage target in build files using emma
Date Fri, 15 Jun 2007 16:39:26 GMT

Doug Cutting updated HADOOP-1496:

    Status: Open (was: Patch Available)

1. Generated files should generally be placed in the build directory. Then the 'coverage-clean'
target won't be required.

2. Instead of copying the existing junit tasks, can we use 'subant' to call them?

> Test coverage targets for Hadoop using emma.
> Test coverage will help in identifying the components which are not poperly covered in
tests and write test cases for it.
> Emma (http://emma.sourceforge.net/) is a good tool for coverage.
> If you have something else in mind u can suggest.
> I have a patch ready with emma.
