Subject [jira] Created: (HADOOP-778) Path.toString() should retain trailing '/' if passed in constructor

Path.toString() should retain trailing '/' if passed in constructor
-------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: HADOOP-778
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-778
             Project: Hadoop
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: fs
            Reporter: Sanjay Dahiya

Does it break something if Path retains trailing '/' if passed in constructor and returns
it back in toString() ?
Looking at Path.toString() JobClient wont have a way of knowing which Paths were intended
to be directories and not files, in the context of globbed regex ( HADOOP-619 ).
