Subject [jira] Updated: (HADOOP-676) JobClient should print user friendly messages for standard errors
Date Tue, 07 Nov 2006 11:26:54 GMT

Sanjay Dahiya updated HADOOP-676:
---------------------------------

    Attachment: Hadoop-676.patch

This patch adds 3 new exceptions
- InvalidJobConfException (mendatory attributes missing or incorrect)
- InvalidFileTypeException (expecting file / got dir or vice versa )
- FileAlreadyExistsException (as it says)

It throws these exceptions from job client and prints better error messages. All exceptions
extend IOException to conform with existing API but are added in throws declaration to appear
in javadocs.

Is there any other exception you would like to be thrown/printed ?
