the SequenceFile sorter should take a Progressable that should be used in map/reduce sort
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: HADOOP-407
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-407
             Project: Hadoop
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: mapred
    Affects Versions: 0.4.0
            Reporter: Owen O'Malley
         Assigned To: Owen O'Malley
             Fix For: 0.5.0

Currently, when the framework is sorting it creates a side thread that sends fake progress
reports back to the task tracker once a second. This can cause problems if there is a problem
in the sort getting stuck. It would be far better to have the sort take a Progressable that
can report that progress is being made in the sort.
