The new logging framework puts application logs into server directory in hadoop.log
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: HADOOP-274
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-274
     Project: Hadoop
        Type: Bug

    Reporter: Owen O'Malley
 Assigned to: Owen O'Malley

The new logging infrastructure puts application logs into the server log directory under hadoop.log.
I think it would be less confusing to use the old behavior of writing out to stderr (for applications).

Thoughts?
