Subject Tool Tip for searching code

When I need to search for something a large list of files, I use good old
trusty grep.

Easiest way is to go to the top level of the directory you want to search
in, for example /var/lib/tomcat 
this is where the guacamole directory is located in most instances.

As long as you know the word pattern you are looking for this command will
work pretty well.

issue the command: grep -inR "YOURWORDPATTERN" .
Breakdown:  -i = ignore case , -n = Line number, -R = recursive  the dot (.)
means everything
