One thing I'd look at is making sure that the remote= PulseAudio session is correctly configured as the default destination - Pu= lseAudio can have multiple inputs and outputs, and if the remote computer h= as a sound card it's possible the data is still being sent to the local= sound card and not to the remote PulseAudio session.
