I should probably restate: I have three Windows 7 clients that connect with no problem; this problem is specific to Windows Server (2008r2 and 2012r2). I think I have removed the NLA restrictions from these two servers, meaning if I haven't it is due to ignorance, not neglect. I should also restate that I can connect to these severs with the xfreerdp client, so required functionality is present and not blocked by security measures.
