It's not a matter of there being a workaround for {{window.btoa()}} - IE9 lacks the ability
to stream data efficiently enough to provide a good remote desktop experience, and so no effort
is made to maintain compatibility with IE9. The oldest version of IE that Guacamole can support
is 10.
