Subject [jira] [Commented] (GROOVY-9070) OpenJdk 11 Illegal reflective access
Date Sun, 07 Apr 2019 02:34:00 GMT

Paul King commented on GROOVY-9070:

The Java libraries return an {{UnmodifiableMap}} when you call {{getenv()}}. There are some
options for setting environment variables when kicking off processes but you don't want to
go down that path anyway since as per the link Daniel gave earlier, that environment variable
is only used within the Groovy startup scripts. You'd need to replicate the resulting options
({{--add-opens}}) that those scripts set for however you start java.

> I wrote a command line application which uses Groovy 2.5.6. I tested the issue also with
Groovy 3.0.0.alpha4 and it still occurs. I tested with OpenJdk11
